Our Partnership Approach

Identity Target Audience

For the exercise of identifying the target audience we will help identify demographic groups and help to source contact details for the project. Working alongside key strategic partners, we could further identify further groups. We look at wider audiences far beyond the business community; there are wider audiences to be considered within the local area.

Engage Target Audience

Once target audiences have been established, for each demographic group, we will consider which methods of communication are best suited to reach them. For example with a younger demographic social media will take precedence over printed media. Engaging different demographics visually we may opt for “quirky mediums” for non-business audiences and more corporate strategies for businesses. Throughout the whole process of engagement we will consider that varying levels of digital awareness and physical abilities exist, ensuring that any proposed website and portal is easy enough to use and accessible to the disabled community too.

We will ensure we maintain working relationships with all by:
  • Attending relevant planning meetings
  • Communicating on a monthly basis with progress reports
  • Frequent dialogue via verbal and written communication
  • Identifying key personnel roles and responsibilities
  • Obtaining and reading relevant publications produce
  • Seeking agreement and sign-off on milestones
  • Using shared cloud services such as Google Docs

BRAND PERSONA

People buy from people, so when we decided to re-design our website we looked at E-Strands as if it were a person. This enabled us to take an outsider’s view of the company, to better understand our voice in the market place. We began this exercise by asking these questions:

What 7 words best describe who we are?

Our answer is within "What 7 words best describe who we hope to become after the redesign?"

  • Clever
  • Creative
  • Detailed
  • Honest
  • Passionate
  • Personal
  • Technical

Being creative or technical can mean a lot of things, so it is good to create some boundaries, a list of constraints within the design such as

  • Clever but not a know-all
  • Creative but not wacky
  • Detailed but not pedantic
  • Honest but not rude
  • Passionate but not irrational
  • Personal but not overfamiliar
  • Technical but not boring

A website exists to deliver content. Every time you make a decision ask why?

Why am I doing this?

What business goal will it help us achieve?
